Varicose Valve Repair Treatment
Varicose valve repair (clamp method), many methods are used in the treatment of varicose veins. Many of the modern treatment methods are so-called non-surgical methods. How is varicose vein valve surgery performed?
The basic thing that is done in varicose vein valve repair operation is; bringing the first or second or both of the open veins together at the junction of the spare vein with the main vein. It is technically quite simple and only requires the doctor performing the operation to have high-level ultrasonography knowledge and to give the correct indication. The technique applied in valve repair (clamp) operation is; wrapping the valves (valves) inside the open vein with special materials (silicone, dacron, vascular tissue etc.) from the outside and bringing the valves together. There is no such thing as opening the inside of the veins and repairing the valves from the inside. The valves that approach each other in this way will not leak blood back and will function normally.
Who can have varicose valve repair (clamp) surgery?
First of all, varicose valve repair cannot be performed on everyone. In order to perform this surgery, the bypass veins and valves must be evaluated with color doppler USG and the necessary measurements must be made. For example, the varicose veins must not be too advanced, more than a few valves must not be damaged, etc. With the right diagnosis in the right patient, the bypass veins can be successfully preserved to function naturally.
Is there any risk of varicose valve surgery?
The varicose valve surgery technique does not have any serious risks and has fewer wound complications than any surgical operation. It is a very safe method.
The most important thing to remember is that this surgery cannot be performed on everyone and a decision can only be made with the result of color doppler ultrasonography. It is an operation technique determined by your veins, not us or you.
